TEETH!!

The story of the week is teeth!! As you can see, Owen is trying to show off his first tooth. Actually, he is working on his two bottom teeth at the same time, and doing quite well with it. Owen had his 6 month check up today and continues to be a healthy baby. He now weighs 17 lbs 13 oz and is 27 in tall. He is quite the character these days. He enjoys laughing at his big brother and loves saying "da da." Oh, and he loves to eat, if you can't tell.

Now as far as Zac goes, you might notice he looks a little different. Last summer Zac fell hard on the cement and hurt his front tooth pretty bad. Over the last few weeks, Zac developed an abscess above that tooth and we came to find out the tooth just couldn't recover and needed to be pulled out. So we went to Dr Jay (our dentist) yesterday and had him pull it out. Zac is such a big boy that continues to amaze us every day. He did such a good job and is so brave.

Anyway, that's what is new at the Michaelson house. One is loosing teeth and the other is getting them. Other than that, we are excited about summer and are enjoying our new house. We hope you all enjoy the few pictures and we will try to update again soon. Have a great summer!

Owen - 3 Months

Owen is already 3 months old. He is getting to be quite the funny little guy. He laughs at his big brother a lot, and is discovering all of his fun toys. Zac continues to be the best big brother and a great helper. Mom went back to work last week, and everyone seems to be adjusting well. Well Child Checks

The boys both had there well child checks the other day. We finally scheduled Zac's 3yr check-up at the same time as Owen's 2month check-up. So I have new stats for everyone.
Zachary is 32lbs 6oz and is 37 1/2in tall. Little Owen is already 11lbs 13oz and 24 1/8in long. I looked back at Zac's info and he was 11lbs 12oz at his 2 month check up and 23 1/2 in long. They said Owen is really long (75-90%)! The doctor said we have two perfect boys and we agree.

Owen got his shots and did great with them. Zac insisted on holding his hand during the shots and was so sweet with him.

Owen Russell Michaelson

Okay, so I am terrible at updating our blog. I'm sorry. I will try to summarize the life in the Michaelson Family since we last updated this. As you all know, our newest addition to our family is Owen Russell Michaelson. He was born on Thanksgiving morning, 11/27/08, weighing in at 8lb 1.2oz and was 21in long. Owen gave a new meaning to Thanksgiving this year for us with his very scary entrance into this world. It is still hard to put into words the emotions that we felt the day the Lord blessed us with Owen's life, he sure is special. After spending a few days in the NICU, Owen was able to come home with us on Zac's Birthday and has been doing great since. Zac thought Owen was a pretty cool Birthday present and has adapted so well. We couldn't be more proud of Zac. He is the best big brother anyone could have. Owen is almost 2 months old already and is starting to give out smiles on a regular basis. Being the parents of two boys is such a joy. God is good!!! Thanks for reading, and enjoy the pictures. IT'S A BOY!!!

We had our first photo shoot of baby Michaelson #2 today. We are so blessed to know that we are having a very healthy baby boy. The ultrasound tech said he is not shy and was actually quite proud to let us know that he was a boy. He is also quite entertaining already. You can kind of see in this picture, he has his leg stretched up by his mouth. As we were watching him, he was showing off, trying to put his foot in his mouth (quite flexible). Zac is excited and loved seeing his baby brother. He has his own picture and has been carrying it with him all evening. Anyway, we are thrilled and couldn't wait to share the news with all our friends and family. Hope all is well with everyone, and we hope you all have a good rest of the summer.

Road Trip To Colorado

Wow, time flies. Sorry it has been so long since we have updated our blog. All is good in the Michaelson family. We recently went on a road trip to Colorado because Josh had a conference in Keystone for work. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures. We were able to go to Denver for a few days and then Keystone and even spent an afternoon in Boulder. We went to the Denver Aquarium and were able to visit some relatives and also see Uncle Caleb. We even got to meet Caleb's girlfriend Megan. The trip was wonderful, Zac did great and had a blast. Hope all is well with everyone and I am going to try to get better at updating this thing more often!!! Have a great summer.

Summer Fun!

Sorry it has been so long since we have updated our blog. Here are some of Zac's 19 month pictures as well as some recent ones of his summer fun. He is now almost 22 months old and continues to grow everyday. We have had a wonderful summer, busy, but wonderful. Zac's favorite thing to do is play with his golf clubs outside with his Daddy. He is learning more and more words everyday, in fact, he can copy just about anything we say. It is pretty cute. We hope you are all enjoying your summer.

Zac went on two Easter Egg Hunts this year. One for mom's work and the other was on Easter with all of his cousins at Aunt Gail's house. Zac did great for his first year, and had a lot of fun. His basket got so full he fell over a couple of times. It was pretty cute. We hope everyone had a great Easter and enjoy the pictures.

15 Month Pictures

Uncle Caleb was home last month and needed to use Zachy for a project. We had a nice time with him while he was home, and just wanted to share the good photos with you. Zac continues to grow every day. He is doing new things all the time, and trying to say more and more words. His favorite food is bananas and he loves to climb on everything, so we call him our little monkey. At his 15 month doctor visit, the doctor said he was doing well, and had quite the nice "toddler belly." He weighed 23#3oz and was 31 inches tall. Enjoy the new pictures.

We were excited to start the New Year with some snow. Zac's first experience in the snow was quite entertaining for mom and dad. Zac looked at us like we were silly when we put him in the snow, and especially when we threw snowballs at him. He even laughed a little. The poor guy couldn't walk though with all his snow gear on, so he just was stuck in one spot. If nothing, we at least got a kick out of it, hope you will too. Happy New Year to all!

ZACHARY ENJOYED HIS SECOND CHRISTMAS. HE GOT ALL KINDS OF FUN NEW TOYS AND BOOKS AND EVEN SOME CLOTHES. WE ALL ENJOYED THE TIME WE GOT TO SPEND WITH OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS WELL. WE HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND WISH ALL OF YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR AS WELL.

Zac is ONE!!

Zac had his 1st Birthday Party. The theme was football. He wasn't too interested in the cake, but loved all the presents and new toys. The last year has gone so fast, it is hard to believe our little Zac Attack is already one. Zac had his one year checkup a few days after his party. He had so much fun at the doctor's office laughing at himself in the mirror. The doctor said he is doing very well, he even showed off for the doctor by doing all his new tricks such as saying "UH, OH!" She got a kick out of it. Anyway, our little Zac weighs 22lb 8oz (45%) and is 30 1/2" tall (65%), and is as perfect as any one year old could ever be!!!

Zac had his one year pictures taken and wanted to show everyone how big he is getting.

Zac's first birthday is only a few days away. We can't believe how fast this year has gone and how fast Zac is growing up. He is walking all over the place now. He still crawls but is choosing to walk more and more each day. We are excited for Christmas and look forward to spending time with family and friends.

Zac's new favorite toy!

Zac loves his new toy. Now he is really all over the place. He can walk really good with his little walker. Sometimes he reminds me of a little old man, not much hair or teeth, and has to use a walker to get around. He is fast though, especially on our wood floors. He is getting more steady every day. He has taken about two steps, but then he gets scared. As soon as he realizes he isn't holding on to anything he looks around with a worried look and quickly sits down. He is a lot of fun, and continues to do new things everyday.

Zac is at a fun stage right now. He is getting to be so curious!! He is crawling all over the place to explore new things, and also pulls himself up on anything he can find. Every once in awhile he thinks he can walk... but he can't.

Zac likes to climb on the couch and look out the window. Especially when watching for daddy to drive in the driveway when he comes home from work.

This is Zac's favorite little corner. He pulls himself up on all the furninture and makes his way to this corner where he can look all around.

We have a park close to the house, so when it is nice out we like to swing and go down the slides.

Zac loves FOOD! He is a great eater and likes trying new things. If he ever cries, it is usually about food, not enough or fast enough.

Everyday now, Zac crawls into the bathroom, pulls himself up on the tub and starts banging on it to get us to give him a bath. He loves the water and likes to splash around.

Zac loves to play with his cousins, Morgan and Aidan.

Zac's 9 Month Pictures

Zac just had his 9month pictures taken today and wanted to share them with everyone. He also had his 9month doctor visit the other day. He weighs 21lbs 15.6oz (35%) and is 28 1/4" tall (53%). The doctor said he is just perfect and doing all the things he is supposed to be doing (getting into everything!!!).
